The mojito cocktail is a traditional Cuban cocktail recipe. The sugar combined with the freshness of lime and the smell of mint are intended to "cut" the strong feeling that rum gives, succeeding in making mojito one of the most popular summer cocktails.
Recipe Execution:
Add lime juice, sugar and mint leaves to a cocktail shaker.
Use a cocktail muddler tomuddle the ingredients.
Fill the glass with crushed ice.
Add rum and stir.
Finally add soda water and stir gently.
Garnish with a peak of mint (4-5 leaves to the trunk).
Recipe Notes:
The rum for the mojito cocktail is usually white. Some use it 50 - 50 white and brown rum.
