The manhattan cocktail was first made back in 1870's at a bar called Manhattan in New York. Made with Canadian whisky and sweet vernouth, the manhattan cocktail is an old time classic.
Recipe Execution:
Pour the canadian whisky and the sweet vermouth into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Stir until condensation forms on the outside of the shaker.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Add two dashes of Angostura bitters.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry or with a lemon peel and enjoy the manhattan cocktail.
Recipe Notes:
In order to freeze a cocktail glass fill it with ice for about 3-4 minutes. Optionally you can add some water.
