Dry Martini cocktail is for many the ultimate dry cocktail. Initially in 1904 the cocktail served in France with dry vermouth and olive and then replaced with gin. Dry martini cocktail does not contain the very well known drink 'Martini', it has been named so by the glass 'martini' in which it is served.
Pour the ingredients (Gin and dry vermouth) into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Stir until condensation forms on the outside of the shaker.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with 2 pieces of olive or with a slice of lemon.
The dry martini cocktail is ready.. Enjoy!
To freeze a glass of cocktail fill with ice and leave for 3-4 minutes. Optionally, add some water.
To make the dry martini cocktail extra dry we reduce the dose of vermouth.
An other option is to pour vermouth into the glass instead of the shaker, shake lightly and throw the content. So the amount of vermouth in the cocktail will be minimum.
